Different Dimension Love To Hate You

Hi guys

Today I'm wearing Different Dimension Love To Hate You.Love To Hate You is a jam packed glitter topper filled with small white and purple circle glitters as well as larger circle glitters, squares, stars, diamonds and hearts. The pictures show one coat of Love To Hate You over Nails Inc Colville Mews. I didn't need to redip my brush to get more glitter or fish for the larger glitters although I did have to manipulate the polish on my nails to make sure I got even coverage. The circle glitters really catch the light and this topper is very pretty. This is my first polish by Different Dimension and I'm sure it won't be my last.Which Different Dimension polishes do you think I need to add to my collection?

Bye for now, Louise x

Glisten and Glow Youngwildandpolished collaboration polishes

Hi guys

I recently ordered the 4 polishes in the Glisten and Glow Youngwildandpolished collaboration. They arrived within a week from the USA which I was pleased about.

For this mani I am wearing two of the polishes from this collaboration - Topaz's Cabin on my pointer and pinky nails and Dukeberry on my middle and ring nails. Topaz's Cabin is a mid to dark grey cream and Dukeberry is a dusky dark purple.

The polishes applied in 2 easy coats and I'm also wearing base and top coat.

Do you guys have this collection? Which is your favourite polish?

Best wishes, Lou x

Essie Blossom Dandy and Nails Inc Montpellier Square

Hi guys

For this diagonal tape mani first I applied 2 coats of Essie Blossom Dandy. The first coat didn't go on well at all. The brush picked up polish as I was painting so it was very streaky. Luckily the second coat went on smoothly and levelled the polish out. I applied tape to the bottom half of my nails before applying Nails Inc Montpellier Square which was opaque in one coat. I topped the entire mani with Sally Hansen Insta-dri top coat. The base coat I used was Rimmel Nail Nurse Nail Rescue.

Nail Box UK October 2015 box

Hi guys, long time no see!

This month I subscribed to Nail Box UK and I've got to say I'm very impressed. The box arrived 2 days after being shipped and was full of nail goodies, including 3 polishes: Nails Inc Kensington High Street gel effect polish which is a deep red cream, Essie Lux Effect polish in Summit of Style which is a gold glitter top coat and Rimmel Caramel Cupcake which is a nude cream with a shimmer. Also in the box was a bottle of Nicole by OPI drying drops which claims to make polish dry completely within 5 minutes. Last but not least was a pair of professional nail scissors by Elegant Touch.

As Nails Inc is my favourite brand I have quite a few of their polishes. I was happy to get one in this box and even happier that it was one I don't already have in my collection.

Both of the cream polishes applied in two easy coats and the glitter polish built up well. I used the drying drops although I also applied Nails Inc Kensington Caviar top coat to cover the texture of the glitter.

I checked the value of the items of this box and was surprised to find that it was worth nearly £50. Not bad for something that only cost £15!

Here is a picture of the mani I created with the polishes from this box using two coats of each of the cream polishes and two coats of the glitter polish on the tips with base and top coat. Please leave links to yours in the comments.

Hopefully it won't be too long before my next post.

Take care, Lou x

Black Cat Lacquer Chivalry is Dead

Hi guys

This polish is a subtle thermal because the difference between the colour of it warm and the colour of it cold is not too contrasting. When both warm and cold there is a lovely fine glitter sparkle to it.

When warm this polish is mid brown and when cold it is dark brown, leaning towards black.

I've been wearing this polish for most of this week with OPI Nail Envy and HK Girl top coat and it was only last night that it began chipping.

I got this polish from Rainbow Connection UK where the lovely Annette sells lots of indie polishes to us British girls that we probably wouldn't be able to get our mitts on otherwise for which I'm very grateful although I don't think my bank manager is! Be warned guys, your wishlist will probably grow immensely!

Do you guys like thermal polishes?

Are there any that you'd recommend?

Color Club Beyond

Hi Guys

I've been wearing this pretty black holo polish for a couple of days and although I like it a lot I've noticed that the tips chip quite easily and quickly.

I applied two coats with Glisten & Glow HK top coat and OPI Nail Envy on Sunday night and by yesterday they were a little chipped. I didn't want to change my polish so soon so applied another coat of polish and top coat early yesterday evening and then went in the shower before bed and when I came out I noticed that my nails were already showing tip wear!

Anyhoo, I still like this polish and I'm sure I'll wear it more often when the sun decides to make a come back!

Here is a collage of some of the pics I managed to get of it:

If you fancy treating yourself to this beauty, I got mine here.  You have to sign up which is quick and easy and you don't need a trade account.

Do any of you have this polish or any tips to prevent it chipping so easily and quickly?

Jindie Nails Candy Land ♡

Hi guys

I've been lusting after this beauty since I first saw it appear on my Instagram feed although I can't remember the name of the lucky lady who had it!

Finally this beauty became mine this week after I stalked Jindie Nails Facebook page waiting for details of her next restock! When I applied it for the first time I was quite disappointed as even with four coats and plenty of shaking and tipping the bottle upside down between coats I had hardly any glitter on my nails.  I persevered and two coats and plenty of fishing later it looked how I'd expected it to look!

The first picture shows how it looked after four coats. The other pictures show how it looked after six coats! You even get to see my right hand because it looked equally pretty!

Anyhoo, formula aside this beauty is just that. I love how some of the neon glitter is a little muted by the layers of almost sheer creamy white polish.

One of the ladies on the All Things Nails page on Facebook kindly contacted Jen of Jindie Nails on my behalf and told her of the problems I'd encountered when applying this beauty.  Jen is kindly sending me a replacement bottle! There really are some fab people in the nail polish community!

I'll either update this post when my new bottle of Candy Land arrives or write a second blog post depending on how I feel at the time!

Do any of you ladies own this beauty? Was she easier to apply for you?  Feel free to post links to any blog posts you have done about this beauty.  I love seeing pictures of it.

Love Lou x

Edit - 8 April 2013

Hey guys

My replacement bottle of this beauty arrived a couple of weeks ago and it's fab. The distribution of glitter was much more  than in the previous bottle. Here are some pictures of the few times I've worn it since getting it.

Nails Inc Porchester Square

Hey guys
Unfortunately I couldn't bear the idea of wearing Stretford for more than one day so I replaced it with Porchester Square. This is a neutral mushroom colour which I wasn't sure about when I first wore it, however it's now one of my 'go to' polishes.
This understated beauty is a staple in most people's Nails Inc collections and is actually referred to as a 'Hero' shade by the bods at NI.
This polish is lovely either on it's own or topped with Electric Lane or Burlington Arcade for a bit of extra glitz.
I am wearing 2 coats of polish with Opi Nail Envy base coat and Nails Inc Kensington Caviar top coat.
Do any of you guys have this beauty? Do you agree that it's a 'must have' in any Nails Inc fan's collection?

Nails Inc Stretford

Hiya guys
I'm not going to say it's my new year resolution to post more because it'll be doomed to fail but let's see if i can!
Stretford is one of my untrieds that I thought I'd give a chance last night while I was trying to get my head back into work mode after 11 days off. It would have been a nice break if I hadn't had this flaming cold for the whole of it, but hey!
This is one of the mirror metallic shades Nails Inc brought out a couple of months ago. This is 3 thin coats with Opi Nail Envy base and Nails Inc Kensington Caviar top coat. It's a pretty champagne colour which applied well but I personally don't love it. Luckily I got it in a mini set called the Fashionistas.
Do you like this polish?

Hi Guys

This is the first post from my new phone and hopefully I'll be posting more often now I can blog on the go - you've gotta love technology!

Mount Street is a gorgeous chocolate brown and this is two coats of colour on top of one coat of Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Basecoat topped off with a coat of Seche Vite.

Have any of you tried Mount Street? What did you think of it?

Nails Inc Holland Park

Hey Guys

As you may have realised from my posts I love my purple polishes! I'm definitely a purple people eater ;)

I was so excited when I heard that Nails Inc were bringing out a neon purple and ordered Holland Park as soon as I could afford to treat myself to it!

Unfortunately the original polish I got was one of the ones from the faulty batch and even after 7, yes 7 coats it was still streaky and not at all opaque. I was a very disappointed bunny! :(

Fortunately when I decided to give this polish a second chance and bought another bottle using a Debenhams gift card I'd received for my birthday, I got a much better polish - Yay!

Here are some pictures of this beauty which were taken after 2 days wear!

I removed this polish tonight and reapplied it from scratch and am even happier with the look of it second time round :D (I'll try to remember to take some pics before it gets dark tomorrow!)

What do you guys think of this beauty? Do you agree that it was worth the second chance?

Nails Inc Porchester Square & Electric Lane

China Glaze Purple Panic

As you might know I'm on a mission to find the perfect neon purple (in my opinion)

I thought this one might have been a contender but despite the name it's definitely more pink than purple and wasn't really what I was looking for!

Ciate Purple Sherbet

Nails Inc Tate

This is a gorgeous classy red and these photos were taken after 5 days of wear :) Tate

Layla Cloudy Violet Hologram Polish

Hey Guys

This is a gorgeous purple holographic which my boyfriend described as looking like I had "dipped my fingers in a rainbow" which goes some way to describe how colourful this beauty is!  Unfortunately it's a pain in the posterior to capture that effect on camera, at least for me!

If you fancy treating yourself to this little beauty or any of her pretty sisters then head on over to Simply Occasions where the lovely Bryony will be happy to assist you I'm sure :D

Lou :) x

p.s. Any tips on how to catch this effect would be gratefully received as would any other hints and tips you guys may have on how I can improve my blog/picture taking techniques! x
